Sistema compuesto por el laberinto, nervios vestibulares y núcleos vestibulares. Es el sistema más imporante del equilibrio corporal, siendo el resposable del mantenimiento del equilibrio estático y dinámico, así como la identificiación de las aceleraciones lineales y angulares.
