Es una hipoacusia neurosensitiva con un componente conductivo agregado. Estas sorderas están originadas por varias lesiones coexistentes afectando al mismo tiempo al sistema de transmisión y al de percepción. En estas sorderas hay un componente transmisivo y otro perceptivo. La diferencia entre el componente perceptivo y el transmisivo se denomina con el término ingles gap.
