Es uno de los tres ligamentos articulares cricotiroideos que refuerzan la cápsula articular de las articulaciones cricotiroideas. Es muy corto pero resistente. Se inserta en la parte interna de la extremidad libre del cuerno inferior, es oblicuo hacia abajo y hacia dentro, y termina en la cara posterior de la lámina cricoides, por fuera de la inserción del músculo crico-aritenoideo posterior. <(A.): Unteres Schilddrüsenband: Es ist eines der drei Schilddrüsen-Gelenkbänder, die die Gelenkkapsel der Schilddrüsengelenke stärken. Sie ist sehr kurz, aber stark. Sie wird an der Innenseite des freien Endes des unteren Horns eingesetzt, ist schräg nach unten und innen gerichtet und endet an der Rückseite der Krikoidlamelle, außerhalb des Einsatzes des hinteren Krikoaritenoids.
