Es el más resistente de los tres ligamentos articulares cricotiroideos que refuerzan la cápsula articular de las articulaciones cricotiroideas. Está situado dorsalmente a la articulación. Se desprende de la cima del cuerno inferior del CT, discurre oblicuo hacia abajo, hacia delante y hacia adentro, es muy corto y se fija sobre la cara externa del arco cricoideo, por delante de su cara articular.
