LEIOMIOSARCOMA.

 
   Sarcoma agresivo y maligno de partes blandas que se origina en células del músculo liso, normalmente de origen uterino, gastrointestinal o de otros tejidos blandos. El leiomiosarcoma tiene un alto índice de recurrencia y metástasis. Es importante determinar si el tumor es cutáneo o profundo porque ambos se comportan de forma muy diferente. El leiomiosarcoma cutáneo suele ser más benigno, mientras que el leiomiosarcoma profundo es muy agresivo y resistente a muchos tipos de tratamiento.
 
   <(A.): Leiomyosarkom: ein bösartiger Tumor glattmuskulärer Herkunft. Die glatte Muskulatur ist die wichtigste strukturelle Komponente der meisten hohlen inneren Organe und der Wände von Blutgefäßen. Kann fast überall im Körper auftreten, ist aber am häufigsten in der Gebärmutter und im Gastrointestinaltrakt. Die Behandlung der Wahl ist, wenn möglich, die vollständige chirurgische Exzision.
 
   <(F.): Léïomyosarcome: sarcome constitué de cellules musculaires lisses plus ou moins différenciées. Lésion de nature variable dont on sait par expérience que si elle persiste suffisamment longtemps, elle aboutira, dans un fort pourcentage de cas, à l'apparition d'un cancer.
 
   <(In.): Leiomyosarcoma: a malignant tumour of smooth muscle origin. Smooth muscle is the major structural component of most hollow internal organs and the walls of blood vessels. Can occur almost anywhere in the body but is most frequent in the uterus and gastrointestinal tract. Complete surgical excision, if possible, is the treatment of choice.
