Art. tympanica anterior: rama colateral de la arteria maxilar interna, naciendo a nivel del cuello del cóndilo, penetra por la cisura de Glasser en la caja del tímpano donde se ramifica.
<(F): Artère tympanique antérieure: de très petit volume, elle nait de la maxillaire interne près du col du condyle; assez souvent, elle vient de la méningée moyenne, plus rarement de la temporale ou de la dentaire inférieure. Elle passe en avant du nerf auriculo-temporal, donne quelques rameaux à l'articulation temporo-maxillaire, et pénètre à côté de la corde du tympan dans un conduit spécial, pour arriver dans l'oreille moyenne, où elle distribue ses rameaux a la muqueuse de la caisse du tympan; elle s'anastomose avec les rameaux de la stylo-mastoïdienne, branche de la carotide externe.
<(Ing): Anterior tympanic artery, glaserian artery: a branch of the maxillary artery. Passes upward behind the temporomandibular articulation, enters the tympanic cavity through the petrotympanic fissure, and ramifies upon the tympanic membrane, forming a vascular circle around the membrane with the stylomastoid branch of the posterior auricular, and anastomosing with the artery of the pterygoid canal and with the caroticotympanic branch from the internal carotid. Ascends through the retroarticular region dividing into anterior branches that spread through the posterior part of the temporomandibular joint, and posterior branches that contribute to the vascularization of the external acoustic meatus and the tympanic cavity.
