Corpus trapezoideum: parte de la vía auditiva ventral o principal, situado en el segmento intra-bulbo-protuberancial o pontino de la misma. Formado por las fibras que parten del núcleo coclear ventral cruzando la protuberancia. En su parte dorsal se encuentra el núcleo olivar superior.
