CANAL CAROTÍDEO

 
   Canalis caróticus: conducto labrado en el espesor del peñasco del hueso temporal a través del cual penetra la arteria carótida interna en el cráneo.
   Sinónimos: conducto carotídeo.
 
  <(A): Carotis-Kanal, Canalis caroticus: ein Durchgang durch den petröse Teil des Schläfenbeins von seiner unteren Oberfläche nach oben, medial und anterior zum Apex, wo er sich hinter und oberhalb der Stelle des Foramen lacerum öffnet. Er überträgt die innere Halsschlagader und die begleitenden Venen- und autonomen Nervengeflechte.
 
   <(F): Canal carotidien: conduit de l'os temporal qui donne passage à l'artère carotide.
 
   <(Ing): Carotid canal, canalis caroticus: a passage through the petrous part of the temporal bone from its inferior surface upward, medially, and anteriorly to the apex where it opens posterior and superior to the site of the foramen lacerum. It transmits the internal carotid artery and accompanying plexuses of veins and autonomic nerves.
