   Facilidad del sistema inmune para defenderse de agentes patógenos o toxinas mediante una efectiva respuesta inmunológica.

   <(F.): Immunocompétence: un organisme immunocompétent est un organisme au système immunitaire normal, en opposition à un organisme immunodéprimé.
 
   <(Ing.): Immunocompetence: the ability of the body to produce a normal immune response (i.e., antibody production and/or cell-mediated immunity) following exposure to an antigen, which might be an actual virus itself or an immunization shot. Immunocompetence is the opposite of immunodeficiency or immuno-incompetent or immuno-compromised.
