IMPEDANCIOMETRÍA.

  Valoración de las variaciones de la impedancia del oído medio en función de las modificaciones de presión aplicadas en el conducto auditivo externo permitiendo el diagnóstico funcional del aparato de conducción sonora.
  Sinónimos: timpanometría.
  
   <(A.):Tympanometrie: bei der Tympanometrie handelt es sich um ein objektive Messverfahren der Audiologie. Sie gehört zu der Impedanzaudiometrie. Unter der Impedanz wird in diesem Fall das Ausmaß des verstanden, den das akustische System als Ganzes, z. B. das Mittelohr, der Aufnahme von Schallwellen entgegensetzt. Ein akustisches System mit hoher Impedanz absorbiert wenig Schallenergie und reflektiert einen großen Anteil. Ein System mit niedriger Impedanz nimmt hingegen viel Schallenergie in Form von Vibrationen auf.
 
  <(F.): Impédancemétrie: est un examen qui enregistre plusieurs graphiques, pour traduire le degré de souplesse du tympan selon la pression atmosphérique et les sons reçus. L’impédance du tympan est son degré de rigidité.
 
   <(Ing.): Impedanciometry; tympanometry: is a method of measuring the stiffness (or it's inverse, compliance) of the ear drum. It is a quick test that is part of most basic hearing assessments. A large amount of useful information about the middle ear can be gained from this brief short and easy test. Tympanometry is one of several tests that audiologists call "immittance" tests. The use of the term "immitance", which is not a normal English word, seems to be largely present for didactic reasons. Immittance = impedance+admittance.
