Prueba de la capacidad gustativa. Puede ser hecha con soluciones concentradas de sal y azucar que se aplican sobre determinadas áreas linguales, para ser identificadas por el pacientes. Un método más sofisticado de expliración es la electrogustometría.

   <(Ing): Gustometry: taste may be tested by applying substances that represent the four taste qualities of sweet, salty, sour, and bitter in increasing concentrations, to the tonge to allow determination of the lowest concentration that can be recognized.
