Divertículo que forma en el embrión el endodermo, o intestino primitivo, por detrás de la membrana faríngea y que es el origen de la adenohipófisis.

   <(F): Diverticule de Rathke, poche de Rathke: diverticule (sorte de doigt de gant) du toit de la bouche chez l'embryon. Cette structure anatomique embryonnaire donne naissance à une partie de l'hypophyse (glande située en dessous de l'hypothalamus au centre du cerveau): l'adénohypophyse.

   <(Ing): Rathke diverticulum, craniopharyngeal canal, hypophyseal pouch, Rathke's diverticulum, Rathke's pocket, Rathke's pouch: a tubular outgrowth of ectoderm from the stomodeum of the embryo; it grows dorsad toward the infundibular process of the diencephalon, near which it forms a cup-like mass, giving rise to the pars diastalsis and pars juxtaneuralis of the hypophysis.
