Región del cerebro que interviene en la compresión del lenguaje y la producción del habla con significado. <(F): Aire de Wernicke: zone constituée de la moitié postérieure de la première circonvolution temporale gauche incluant le planum temporal, ainsi que la partie adjacente de la deuxième circonvolution temporale. Elle appartient au cortex associatif spécifique auditif et est située immédiatement derrière et sous le cortex auditif primaire (zone de Heschl). Elle joue un rôle prépondérant dans le décodage des informations auditives à valeur linguistique. <(Ing): Wernicke´s area: area made up of the posterior part of the left superior temporal gyrus, including the temporal planum, as well as the portion adjacent to the transversal temporal gyrus. It belongs to the specific auditory association cortex and is situated immediately behind and below the primary auditory cortex (Heschl's area).
