 Foramen lacerum: en la fosa craneal media de la base del cráneo, orificio de forma irregular y de dimensiones variables situado entre el vértice de la pirámide petrosa y el ángulo formado por el occipital y el esfenoides. Esta obturado por una lámina denominada fibrocartílago basal. <(F): Trou déchiré antérieur: est un petit orifice situé dans le crâne près du point d'articulation entre le sphénoïde, l'occipital (apophyse basilaire) et le temporal. Cet orifice permet le passage de l'artère carotide interne dans le crâne. <(Ing): Foramen lacerum. an irregular aperture, filled with cartilage (basilar cartilage) in the living, located between the apex of the petrous part of the temporal bone, the body of the sphenoid, and the basilar part of the occipital bones. Several structures pass along the margins of the foramen in a nearly horizontal direction but no structures pass through vertically.
