Enzima que normalmente se encuentra en los riñones sanos. Se puede encontrar en concentraciones muy altas en la orina cuando hay problemas renales. Se usa como marcador biológico para detectar el daño que causan los medicamentos y otras sustancias a los riñones. También se puede usar para diagnosticar ciertos trastornos del riñón y el hígado.
